It originates from alpeorujo, a mixture of olive pulp, skin, and pit that remains after the olives are crushed for oil. Once the excess moisture is removed, this material is subjected to an extraction process that separates the last traces of oil. What is left behind is orujillo: a dense, natural biomass with remarkable energy potential.
